La Paz-San José del Cabo 21, San Bartolo, B.C.S.

Tuesday-Saturday 11:30-5:30

If you are looking for a fun outing and some yummy handmade ice cream, then take an atv/utv drive up the arroyo to San Bartolo. Sheila has a super fun outdoor cafe nestled in the hilly countryside of San Bartolo.

We have made it our Sunday tradition to hop in our UTV and take the bumpy arroyo drive to Los Zopilotes for her Sundae special (2 sundaes for 100 mxn) which is any flavor ice cream or sorbet with your choice of toppings (you must try the blackberry), topped with whipped cream, cherry, and a sprinkling of nuts.

She has an extensive dessert menu, including milkshakes, floats, and banana splits. They also make dairy free/vegan options. Recently Sheila has also added tamales (vegan and regular), vegan chili, and more. We like her vegan tamale and pasta salad.

Our favorite ice cream flavors are salted caramel, golden milk (tastes similar to chai tea), rocky road, and maple walnut.

Sheila is an expat from Canada who has been living in San Bartolo for many years. We love her ice cream and cafe. There are card games set up to play on each table and an amazing view of San Bartolo. After ice cream, we like to tool around the countryside before going home. You can also get there by car. It’s much less bumpy.
